When something lasts so long to turn into something else entirely, it is impossible to ignore. That is what our collection Indulgence is about, taking inspiration by the beautiful marbling of petrified wood and turning it into the perfect graphic for tiles.
The light pattern presents linear veins all over, creating a contrast of shadows and highlights that is stunning to the eyes. Indulgence is the perfect collection to make any room look bigger than they are, making them spacious and full of light.
A VOICE FROM THE PAST
Petrified wood is a fossil that forms when plant material is buried by sediment and protected from decay by oxygen and organisms. Then, groundwater rich in dissolved solids replaces the original plant material with inorganic materials. It leaves behind a stone that looks exactly like wood, with all its majestic beauty. This can be observed all over the world, and particularly in Arizona, where there is an impressive and amazing full petrified forest which is now a national park - the plant equivalent to a dinosaurs cemetery.
